The Colonel's
Cucumber Surprise

3 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
2 small yellow onions, thinly sliced
1 large bottle of ranch salad dressing
vinegar
dill weed (to taste)
celery seed (to taste)
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)

Mix cukes, onion, dressing and spices together. Put enough vinegar into the dressing bottle to "rinse" the rest of the dressing out. Pour over salad and mix well. Refrigerate overnight.

This is such a cool and easy salad, and it makes enough that it's perfect for family picnics, office lunches, covered dish dinners, or just plain old everday eating.

The reason it's called Cucumber "Surprise" is because The Colonel made it for an office party once, and everybody was surprised that he could make something so good!
